The Delta Kappa chapter of Alpha Sigma Alpha was established in 1972 on USI's campus.

Alpha Sigma Alpha sorority's purpose is to foster close friendships between members and to develop women of poise and purpose. We inspire women to lead and make a difference in the community through our national and local philanthropies and our core values. Our mission is to find balance in our four aims of intellectual, physical, social, and spiritual development as members. As our ritual states, "Life is not taking in only; it is giving out too. It is giving ourselves – freely – to other people, giving ourselves in comradeship, in understanding, in joy, in love." Our sisterhood is committed to creating a positive environment for all individuals and upholding the standards of poise and purpose.
