Academic Excellence. Community Service. Cultural Awareness. Sisterhood

The Psi chapter of Gamma Phi Omega International Sorority, Inc. was established in 2019 on USI's campus.
GammaPhiOmega International Sorority Inc., was the first Hispanic sorority founded at Indiana University, Bloomington, IN on April 17th, 1991 by 6 Divine Founders. Since that time, GammaPhiOmega has continued to expand. Four women at the University of Southern Indiana became Noble Founders of this organization on April 13th, 2019, bringing the first and only Latinx-oriented organization to Evansville. Although Latinx-oriented in our roots, GammaPhiOmega unites women across an array of cultures. We are committed to the values of diversity and inclusion in order to attain and maintain excellence within our sisterhood providing women an equal opportunity without regard to race, age, sexual orientation, national origin, religion, marital status, or disability. Our prestigious organization is committed to uniting women through common values and shared experiences, and together discovering new interests and goals. We are committed to providing members with opportunities for continued academic, professional, and personal growth. We are also committed to developing a generation of confident women equipped to succeed in all areas of their lives. Gamma Phi Omega International Sorority, Inc., strives to unite sisters in the principles of achieving academic excellence, serving communities in which we live and learn, preserving the sacred bond of sisterhood among women, and uplifting and advancing a cultural awareness among our global communities.
